INFORMATION GATHERING!

So since it came up because I can has character that it comes up with a lot and since Kidd says I need to post so Maka and she can reference off of it (lazy brats~ ♥), I have a question for you, dear CFUDers~!

SRS POLL!

SO. I CAN SEE YOUR CHARACTER(S) SOUL(S). WHAT DOES IT TELL ME ABOUT THEM?

Note: Mostly soul-viewing will tell you personality, feeling and emotions that make up a person's thoughts and such, and other important things like "NOT HUMAN" or "RAPIST" and such!

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] ocdeath'D LIKE TO ADD that if anyone is uncomfortable with anything, just like. Tell us. Your Soul Eater cast will work with you, because we're A++ like that.

--verbatimly taken from Kidd's comment. ♥

Kid would also like everyone to know that she will be asking you UNIQUE SHINIGAMI QUESTIONS. Because she's special like that and is a shinigami and stuff.

Faust.

Feelings and personality: Faust is a torn, tortured and hollow husk of a man... in his own eyes. To explain him is difficult, which I know since I'm trying to write an essay about his insanity and it is a nightmare to try and put into words. Nevertheless, with the context provided I shall do my best.

What Faust soul most often display is sorrow. He is almost always weighed down on the inside by thoughts on all those he has killed, and how much blood there is on his hands. He mostly hides this under a front of glib, wacky behaviour... except when he doesn't, and he actually does wacky stuff because he IS wacky. You see, Faust's grip on sanity isn't the strongest or most firm there is. Once upon a time, the doctor Faust used to be lost a patient. No big deal for most doctors, but Faust had NEVER lost a patient before, and his hubris led to him going insane over this loss. He was practically everything Stein wishes and fears he will one day be. BUT. Through the power of the ghost of the little girl he lost, he was returned to sanity, but it was not a full recovery. Faust lives ONLY for healing others now: he doesn't believe that this will redeem him in any way, he just wants to be as useful as he can while he can.

Now then... while this tells you that apart form being sad a lot and having basically given up, not on the world but over his own life, Faust still has... moments. Most of the time this is expressed by moments of glib wackyness, but he does still get a kick from fighting, hurting AND killing. He knows this. It's like a dark, fearsome beast deep inside him, that finds it ways out of the cracks in his mental defense no matter how hard he tries. He IS better than Stein at containing it though, and the only times he really let's his love for fighting shine through is when he is facing something he has never seen before, who is a sentient, living creature that's challenging him on it's own, free will. Faust will never allow himself to experiment on a patient without the patient's consent. Basically, Faust does not allow ANY of his crazy out volontarily.

So, to be brief... what you see when you look at Faust's soul, would most likely be a soul stretched thin and almost transparent, tired and full of sorrow with something terrible and violent being covered by a thick cloud of grey. It may or may not be shaped like a bag with an eyehole. I'd like to think it is.

Inhuman traits: None. Faust is onehundred percent human... as far as we know.

[identity profile] iscrewtothink.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
... lololol. Faust, I don't want to be like you~

Well, in the psycho department. I like my unethical practices. Or used to. Before the kishin.

Dun wanna be like you Faust, sob.

[identity profile] whoooosshh.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
Vincent.

Also this will be ANOTHER long one. Sob. My characters, why are you all so messed up.

Feelings and personality: Vincent USED to be very, VERY depressed and down in the dumps. This depression has now... not disappeared, but heavily faded. You can still see traces of sorrow on his soul, but it's not as heavy as it used to be. You will also see that he is quick to jump into action when prompted to, and that even though he may appear lethargic and apathetic, he DOES care about people and will take action to defend them. He just... completely suck at social interaction. This I think manifests as him being very much clueless when he's not in a combat situation, and you'll most likely read him as having difficulties and insecurities knowing how to behave around people.

In short, he'll read as having a very cold shell with a somewhat fluffy center... that still has no hesitations to shoot people who are mean in the head.

Inhuman traits: Oy vey. Square, why do you do this to me. See the icon? That is Chaos. Long story short, Vincent was once shot to death. But with the help of SCIENCE he was brought back! Specifically, he was brought back by having a large chunk of Lifestream, basically the souls of all the dead people and the lifeblood of the planet and the origin of all souls, infused into him. But with that particular hunk of lifestream that was used came something extra: Chaos. Chaos is... basically the wake-up clock for the creature that will bring the Lifestream to a new planet when it dies. It's powerful, but has no real personality or drive besides what it's made for. I have NO idea how the Soul Eater cast would see this, but that's what's there. Also, Vincent can transform into other monsters, but that's mostly due to scientific experimantion according to canon. Which is vague. And hard to understand. So I don't think that's something supernatural that you will pick up? I dunno.

[identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
AND FINALLY MY EASIEST CHARACTER. I think I know why I love Brook now, he's so easy to describe. Sob.

Personality and feelings: Brook has a strong soul. A VERY strong soul. This is a man who endured the death of everyone he cared about, and 50 years of maddening isolation purely because he made a promise to return to a friend and tell them of their fate. That is not to say that he NEVER GIVES UP and has no weaknesses. He is far from a stonefaced superdetermined man: he's had his moments of doubts, but he always, ALWAYS overcome them. His thoughts and feelings are mostly almost always happy, having fun and enjoying life to it's fullest, and there's a a side to him that's childish, bordering on crazy that... is not a BAD crazy, but a funnyl ighthearted and charming crazy. I imagine that his soul reflects this, maybe in how it has an outside shell that is kind of fuzzy and may be a little frayed in places but it's surrounding a core of pure, radiant MASSIVE SOUL POWER that is just... impressive to behold. Just seeing it can probably make you feel all warm and fuzzy about yourself. I think his soul looks like an shining skull wearing and afro of fuzzy spiritpower.

Inhuman traits: One! The Devil Fruit that gave him the ability to return from death. Basically, if Brook dies his soul spends a little time in the hereafter, then it returns to his body and brings it back to life... and if the body has decomposed down to a skeleton, the skeleton is brought back to life! The Devil Fruits are described as having a 'wavelength' in canon but very little has been said about it beyond that, so you'd probably pick up a vague buzz of supernatural powers there.

No Stein, you really don't. And neither do I. Although if I ever change Faust back into Baldhead, we can meet and have a crazy-off. You bring the victims, I bring the buckets of gore and splatter.

[identity profile] iscrewtothink.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
... god we need to get a kishin in Camp. You'd totally win in the crazy department though, but would be totally willing to bring the victims~

As long as I get to play with certain ones alone.

Alphonse is a human soul stuck to a giant tin can with magic science and brotherly bonds. Generally his soul is pretty calm and steady, but it FIRES UP when people are being exceptionally dumb. >( Or exceptionally deserving of being beat into the ground. Very solidly a Good Guy, very dedicated to his brother and protecting everyone around him, good strong sense of family, some lingering emo over mom's death but overall has come to terms with that. :|b Generally a nice guy who wants to help and also get his body back.

Dera has a soul that BURNS WITH RAGE AND DESTRUCTION. But is actually a nice guy deep down there. Feels emotions very, very intensely and any real attachments he makes to people are very strong and tend to carry a protective sense. Has trauma from POISON COOKING plus other horrible background emo. Is completely and utterly devoted to Tenth. Generally very gruff/short with people he doesn't know well. Is also a human.

Chizu-nee IS A MYSTERY. Does genuinely care for people in general but prefers loving abuse as a means of showing that. Very strong emotionally, very fearless. Constant aura of RAPE. Any further information has been replaced with images from 4-chan.

Nia has a sweet and loving soul. Totally normal little human. |D Believes very strongly in the abilities of everyone ever (but especially SIMON) and in the ability of people to be good. More than a little naive in regard to . . . a lot of things. And of course she can totally be GAR when she needs to be, though she takes a more passive "will not back down" approach to it. SPOILER: []

Maman is a perfectly normal human with a very serene and calm soul. She tends to gloss over very strange things pretty quickly. 8D Loves her son, loves her husband, cheerful some 99% of the time. She's happy to be a normal housewife.

Yayoi is 100% human. She's got a bit of an inferiority thing going on and a strong desire to grow into a useful person. Very caring, wants to help people, SENSIBLE. Her soul's pretty calm overall. Maybe a bit shakey in the face of HORRIBLE THINGS, but she's a strong girl. :|b

Buccha HAS A TANK IN HIS SOUL I mean. He's a good guy, a human, definitely a shounen retard. :| Smart! Also sensible! Except for those times where he isn't at all. Thinks about food a lot. And wall-riding (skating up the sides of walls). Is a Nice Guy who can be horrible and violent when he feels like it. Totally has a tank in his soul.

Hako -- lolo uh. She's a normal human, but rejection from the guy she was obsessing over and then getting picked up by his murdering mentor sent her a little over the deep end! She can behave perfectly properly, but too strong a push in the wrong direction can end up with her flipping the hell out. Strong fixation on doing her absolute best at all times and at any cost. There's also a lot of thoughts about weak parts vs good parts (where parts are a metaphor for people).

Havoc is 100% human. He's got a pretty calm soul, sturdy. It takes a lot to really shake him even if he bitches and complains. Friendly guy, loyal. Likes teasing people when he gets a chance. |D He's a soldier who was in a horrible genocidal war, but nowhere near on the "lolo human weapon" level that Roy was. Pretty much supports whatever Roy's doing unless he thinks it's really goddamn stupid.

Filif's soul is UNHUMAN (although that should be ... obvious...), and he basically works for God. Is a kind, solid, sensible being, and also a wizard, if his soul-seeing can see powers...? Definitely a Good Guy.

Petros's soul BURNS WITH LOVE FOR GOD!!!!1!! and also KILLING VAMPIRES!!! It is probably very bright but also like ... burnished somewhat, because while he is devoted and faithful he also. I mean, his job is killing things. He can be reasonable, but a lot of the time he tends to shout. ... is badly topped by small adorable traps children?

Will Stronghold is a ... superhero whose powers are genetic, but he's human. He has flight and superstrength. He, too, is a Good Guy, but kind of a failtastic one. Is kind of oblivious but nice, and not inherently violent; he tries to talk his way out of things. Slightly geeky high school freshman.

ANOTHER NEW COMMENT go fight win. \o/

Sora is completely human, though one chosen by DESTINY!!1! to fight the DARKNESS. I don't know if Roxas answered this poll, but if you looked at the two of them, you'd notice that they are ... pretty much exactly the same, with a few cosmetic differences; I imagine it's fairly similiar to what Devit and Jasdero have, only there is less of a forcible divide between them. He has a fairly strong and pure heart, and on top of that is his connection to the Keyblade; I'm probably going to slowly let him reaccumulate the ones he collected in KH2, though at this moment he just as the Kingdom Key. He's a good and honest and straightforward kid, though kind of on the idealistic (and occasionally bratty) side, and sort of your YAY LET'S HELP EVERYONE kind of guys. :Db

[identity profile] ecce0homo.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Wilhelm is an extremely powerful god-like being. As in, his raw power is enough to supply the energy for a heavily populated spaceship the size of the country of Lebanon continuously for years on end without showing the slightest bit of strain. :) And he has NO CONTROLS over how visible his power is, since there's no one in canon who can DETECT that kind of thing, so it's unnecessary. This about his personality are that he's very goal-driven, and that he will do whatever it takes to achieve said goal(s). Other than that, he's very polite, smiley, detached, curious, and in a distant way loves the entire universe. As a whole, not individual pieces. It's what makes him so scary. Oh, and his purpose is to protect the universe from destruction. So. Not human. And rapist. Yes. :)

Canaan has two souls! They're somewhat integrated, but they also have some definite "this is Lactis | this is Canaan" lines. He has a connection to Wilhelm via Program Canaan, which probably manifests to you as a link between their souls, since . . . Wilhelm's power can be ACCESSED through Canaan. He has a "shining will," the trait necessary to operate an E.S. He's full of self-loathing and cares deeply about his friends, but on top of those emotions there's a layer of artificial suppression - he's literally got programming that holds those emotions back. The emotions are all THERE, just . . . squashed. He's not human.

...LOL I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MOST OF MY CHARACTER'S SOULS WOULD LOOK LIKE uhhh

JJ's soul is NORMAL LOOKING if a bit gay

Firo's soul is badass, and might show that he's immortal?

Rose's soul is NORMAL and might possibly have Bad Wolf written all over it.

Ken's soul is retarded. But fairly normal. When he's in a channel, however, his soul will have the animalistic traits of whatever channel he's in.

Kyouichi's soul is human but POWERFUL and stuff. When he's using the power from the Dragon Veins (see icon), it's even more powerful, and lol i hate trying to explain the powers in Tokyo Majin.

[identity profile] jesusintraining.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
o rite. I FORGOT TO DO THIS BEFORE.

Kobato is hard because CLAMP refuses to tell us what she is. We know she's not a normal human (and quite probably not human AT ALL) b-but lol I can't play with this just yet. 8(

Personality wise she's very innocent and naive but very determined to heal the hearts of those she meets. She's very cute, sort of weird, and kind of dumb. :|b

[identity profile] iscrewtothink.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
We'll just go with a "Does anyone see the anteater?" thing since canon doesn't help you much there.

[identity profile] donationsorgtfo.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
... Huh. I missed this.

Minato has 170 unique sides of his soul. olol Persona. Also he's some kinda enlightened thing. It might like like a glowy tarot card or something. Or 170 glowy tarot cards. And one REALLY glowy tarot card in the middle there somewhere I dunno I just figure.

Reimu has a whole lot of divinity and light in her, despite her personality. She has the power to call on and act as vessel to various gods so that might pin you. We don't really know what's up with her soul, but she has some abilities that normal people can't have, and she "can't be bound down by anything", so stuff like gravity or even reality has no hold on her. ... She's a special snowflake. I assume her soul is very shiny and bright and full of holy goodness. Maybe a little lonely and detached given her personality...

I dropped Kaname now and picked up Tatsuma:

Tatsuma's soul is a vessel for a Golden Dragon god, it's all very PURE and divine and blah blah blah. He's. Very POWERFUL, too. And it's all a bit bizarre have a look at his stats/permissions LOL YOU'VE SEEN TOKYO MAJIN.

[identity profile] deepinthered.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yoshino's soul is completely normal. A little petty, a little stubborn, just a normal high school girl.

Shinkurou's soul is also pretty normal, if not a little sad and determined. Sad as in boohoo, not pathetically sad. Saw his parents die at a young age, was kind of a suicidal 7 year old but uuhhh... nothing supernatural.

[identity profile] mostly-armless.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Ladd soul is that of a shounen retard that's drifted over to the crazy/evil side of the force, and dressed up in a fancy suit. He's mafia, so his morals are pretty much not there, but he's got a spirit of romance, too.

Secret is dead, but not. She hovers on the cusp of life and death, unable to cross the line in either direction, and ushers souls into the abyss for all eternity or until someone takes her place. Previously, she was a 14 year old girl, so she's a little immature and her soul is pretty dark. She's powerful, and she knows it, and she knows it scares her friends, that darkness in her. Emo emo darkness woez.

Son Goku is . . . well. He's neither youkai or God. He's born from the Earth and . . . yeah. Cheerful, hungry all the time, very loyal to his friends despite how they argue a lot. But if you remove his limiter (the daidem he wears) his true form is released - he has NO CONTROL OVER IT and in this form Goku can't distinguish between friend or foe.

Otoya is a regular old human unless I get more jossed than I think I will be. Most of the time he acts like an egoistic fool, but he's noble and perceptive underneath. He's a virtuoso violinist, and his soul is possibly literally filled with music. O and he is sekritly a Kamen Rider, although his henshin abilities are based on a piece of technology.

Nakatsu Totally human. Totally obsessed with his "daughter" Kino and how she's doing back home. Totally obsessed with soccer. Is a good guy, genuinely kind, not a genius, but he understands people really well. Slips into hilarious day dream mode and has awesome spaz attacks and reactions. Very lively and animated.

Michael is the arch angel of fire Michael. Six thousand year old soul even though he looks sixteen. Easily angered and resorts to violence quickly. Is lenient to those important to him. Is dealing with a lot of issues involving another angel right now. ~~~romantic troubles~~~~~ lololol. Has deeply rooted brother and abandonement issues. LOUD.

Tsuna would be a totally normal teenaged mafia boss soul if it weren't for his dying will. HAS DIED AND COME BACK A LOT. Spaz, worry wart, jesus.

Johji is totally human and has deeply rooted issues involving his parents and such. Is twisted and kind of a fucked up person. His outward reactions to things rarely match what he's actually thinking or feeling. Hard to read. Has odd reactions naturally.

Ohno totally normal. Otaku. Nice, shy and creepy at times. Thinks about gay porn and cosplay.

Nana is kind of crazy. Has some memory/sanity issues that are close to the surface and soon to start showing up. Trauma mama. Is kind of fucked up and has weird possession type thoughts towards Hachiko. Thinks about singing a lot. For the most part acts like a normal punk girl.

Though processes/feelings are mostly things along the lines of wanting to kill KOS-MOS, I am superior to KOS-MOS, KOS-MOS has something of mine and I'll kill her to get it back and save the universe, I am better than YOU and a lot of other self-righteous/holier-than-thou stuff.

Bandou Mitsuru is your typical Air Gear shounen retard. You'll find lots of pride, a nasty temper, and a fuckton of devotion to a certain Udou Akira. Platonic, probably. He's known as the Cyclops Hammer, but I know no idea if any of that would... actually reflect on his soul.
