INFORMATION GATHERING!
So since it came up because I can has character that it comes up with a lot and since Kidd says I need to post so Maka and she can reference off of it (lazy brats~ ♥), I have a question for you, dear CFUDers~!
SRS POLL!
SO. I CAN SEE YOUR CHARACTER(S) SOUL(S). WHAT DOES IT TELL ME ABOUT THEM?
Note: Mostly soul-viewing will tell you personality, feeling and emotions that make up a person's thoughts and such, and other important things like "NOT HUMAN" or "RAPIST" and such!
ETA:
ocdeath'D LIKE TO ADD that if anyone is uncomfortable with anything, just like. Tell us. Your Soul Eater cast will work with you, because we're A++ like that.

Kid would also like everyone to know that she will be asking you UNIQUE SHINIGAMI QUESTIONS. Because she's special like that and is a shinigami and stuff.

Feelings and personality: Faust is a torn, tortured and hollow husk of a man... in his own eyes. To explain him is difficult, which I know since I'm trying to write an essay about his insanity and it is a nightmare to try and put into words. Nevertheless, with the context provided I shall do my best.
What Faust soul most often display is sorrow. He is almost always weighed down on the inside by thoughts on all those he has killed, and how much blood there is on his hands. He mostly hides this under a front of glib, wacky behaviour... except when he doesn't, and he actually does wacky stuff because he IS wacky. You see, Faust's grip on sanity isn't the strongest or most firm there is. Once upon a time, the doctor Faust used to be lost a patient. No big deal for most doctors, but Faust had NEVER lost a patient before, and his hubris led to him going insane over this loss. He was practically everything Stein wishes and fears he will one day be. BUT. Through the power of the ghost of the little girl he lost, he was returned to sanity, but it was not a full recovery. Faust lives ONLY for healing others now: he doesn't believe that this will redeem him in any way, he just wants to be as useful as he can while he can.
Now then... while this tells you that apart form being sad a lot and having basically given up, not on the world but over his own life, Faust still has... moments. Most of the time this is expressed by moments of glib wackyness, but he does still get a kick from fighting, hurting AND killing. He knows this. It's like a dark, fearsome beast deep inside him, that finds it ways out of the cracks in his mental defense no matter how hard he tries. He IS better than Stein at containing it though, and the only times he really let's his love for fighting shine through is when he is facing something he has never seen before, who is a sentient, living creature that's challenging him on it's own, free will. Faust will never allow himself to experiment on a patient without the patient's consent. Basically, Faust does not allow ANY of his crazy out volontarily.
So, to be brief... what you see when you look at Faust's soul, would most likely be a soul stretched thin and almost transparent, tired and full of sorrow with something terrible and violent being covered by a thick cloud of grey. It may or may not be shaped like a bag with an eyehole. I'd like to think it is.
Inhuman traits: None. Faust is onehundred percent human... as far as we know.

As long as I get to play with certain ones alone.

Also this will be ANOTHER long one. Sob. My characters, why are you all so messed up.
Feelings and personality: Vincent USED to be very, VERY depressed and down in the dumps. This depression has now... not disappeared, but heavily faded. You can still see traces of sorrow on his soul, but it's not as heavy as it used to be. You will also see that he is quick to jump into action when prompted to, and that even though he may appear lethargic and apathetic, he DOES care about people and will take action to defend them. He just... completely suck at social interaction. This I think manifests as him being very much clueless when he's not in a combat situation, and you'll most likely read him as having difficulties and insecurities knowing how to behave around people.
In short, he'll read as having a very cold shell with a somewhat fluffy center... that still has no hesitations to shoot people who are mean in the head.
Inhuman traits: Oy vey. Square, why do you do this to me. See the icon? That is Chaos. Long story short, Vincent was once shot to death. But with the help of SCIENCE he was brought back! Specifically, he was brought back by having a large chunk of Lifestream, basically the souls of all the dead people and the lifeblood of the planet and the origin of all souls, infused into him. But with that particular hunk of lifestream that was used came something extra: Chaos. Chaos is... basically the wake-up clock for the creature that will bring the Lifestream to a new planet when it dies. It's powerful, but has no real personality or drive besides what it's made for. I have NO idea how the Soul Eater cast would see this, but that's what's there. Also, Vincent can transform into other monsters, but that's mostly due to scientific experimantion according to canon. Which is vague. And hard to understand. So I don't think that's something supernatural that you will pick up? I dunno.

Personality and feelings: Brook has a strong soul. A VERY strong soul. This is a man who endured the death of everyone he cared about, and 50 years of maddening isolation purely because he made a promise to return to a friend and tell them of their fate. That is not to say that he NEVER GIVES UP and has no weaknesses. He is far from a stonefaced superdetermined man: he's had his moments of doubts, but he always, ALWAYS overcome them. His thoughts and feelings are mostly almost always happy, having fun and enjoying life to it's fullest, and there's a a side to him that's childish, bordering on crazy that... is not a BAD crazy, but a funnyl ighthearted and charming crazy. I imagine that his soul reflects this, maybe in how it has an outside shell that is kind of fuzzy and may be a little frayed in places but it's surrounding a core of pure, radiant MASSIVE SOUL POWER that is just... impressive to behold. Just seeing it can probably make you feel all warm and fuzzy about yourself. I think his soul looks like an shining skull wearing and afro of fuzzy spiritpower.
Inhuman traits: One! The Devil Fruit that gave him the ability to return from death. Basically, if Brook dies his soul spends a little time in the hereafter, then it returns to his body and brings it back to life... and if the body has decomposed down to a skeleton, the skeleton is brought back to life! The Devil Fruits are described as having a 'wavelength' in canon but very little has been said about it beyond that, so you'd probably pick up a vague buzz of supernatural powers there.
