Ash has a canonical description of his soul: There was the fellow's pattern, a pleasingly even one, almost floral in its unfurled receptiveness. Shapes of open-minded reason repeated within it. The mind of a scholar. Of course it contained the uneven glyphs of hot-blooded tendencies that were to be expected in someone so young, and the whole was currently underlaid by a deep sense of loss and anger, but on the whole it was a very sane mind. Colorwise, it's mostly gold tinged with green. He's an empath and absorbed the powers of an earth-mother type goddess.

Kastor is only half human. His other half is up in the air, but at the moment canon says it's Mara, who are immortals. Heals fast, lives through all sorts of crazy stuff, can do some basic magic. He's a berserker, which is an uncontrollable mental condition, not a profession. Has done lots of killing, his morals aren't the best, and is in general an emo kid. Also, is marked by at least one of his world's gods, possibly two. He's a special snowflake.

Layla is a pretty normal teenaged girl who can control plants. She's intelligent but tends to be a spacey hippie.

Otoya is a regular old human unless I get more jossed than I think I will be. Most of the time he acts like an egoistic fool, but he's noble and perceptive underneath. He's a virtuoso violinist, and his soul is possibly literally filled with music. O and he is sekritly a Kamen Rider, although his henshin abilities are based on a piece of technology.
