So. Raws from Chapter 61 have come out.



And Stein and Marie return to the scene with a DRAMATIC POSE.



Immediately followed by them acting as if they hadn't done anything that ridiculous at all.



We also find out who BJ's killer was.

Which makes me wonder at the whole WHY of it.

I won't give away who it is here, but... yes. Just. I don't think ANYONE saw this coming, to be honest.

Also, Stein and Marie kick ass (with more DRAMATIC POSES).



Even if Marie's weapon form kind of makes me curious...



It is still pretty badass in general.

But yeah. Teddie managed to find the raws somewhere, and michi--former Blair?--had a summary of it linked in the shibusen chan. It was kind of awesome, really. But yeah, this chapter has been SUPER SLOW getting out.

I'd been kind of trying to avoid major spoilers for the chapter because I really want to just read it. But yeah so slooow. (More like so spoiled, really. It's been a few days. >_>)

There's tons of good material for Stein in earlier chapters that you don't have icons of, too. :< ...I know this because I am pretty sure I have iconned every remotely iconable panel Medusa is in, at this point. Although I don't have the unattractive or redundant ones uploaded. ^^;

Yes, I need to icon earlier chapters. But some of the earlier chapters' art are really iffy to meeeeeee. But then again, I haven't looked at the manga for a while. I feel a canon review coming up~

Yeah, I have been rereading the manga over the past few weeks (for... things *cough*) and you're right, a lot of the early art is pretty sketchy. I found myself going "huh I don't have any icons from this part, and I can see why." But some of the panels are totally workable. :|b

Nooope. Wasn't me. I was caught off guard by the whole thing. Except that I've been anticipating it ever since there was that flashback about baby!Black*Star. (Which chapter was that, btw? I can't remember.)

Yeeeah. I mean, some of my icons are from Stein's first appearance. It just depends on how you crop them and whatnot. But some of them are pretty bad.

But yeah, since Medusa mentioned Stein last chapter, and we saw Chrona, I was 90% sure this chapter would have Stein and Marie in it. |D (I dunno what chapter the flashback was. A few chapters ago? But definitely after 54 because that is as far as I've gotten in my reread and I haven't gotten there yet.)

S'true. But Stein shows up a lot (...as long as we're not talking the last 20 chapters), so you should have a lot to choose from. :D

... did she mention him last chapter? Maaan, I am so forgetting details. Obviously I do need the refresher. Hunting down panels to icon will definitely help with the refreshing of memory.

I do know I do, however, have already-made icons of little!Stein somewhere. I could so de-age Stein if I really wanted to. It'd be easy. ... and yet. Little Stein while Medusa's around, mmmm. That would be fun conflict.

Yeah, she said "I dare say Doctor Stein should be locating the culprit about now." So I had assumed this next chapter would... have Stein locating the culprit. So you have not spoiled me for anything except the fact that I am right.

De-aged Stein = :D :D :D. If you wanted I could not!de-age Medusa too and they could be really adorable except not really at all.

I dunno! I kinda wanna see Medusa lure little!Stein away from Shibusen teachings, but then again, the two of them de-age would be adorable in the Stein would definitely try to cut her up more than he has been in Camp way.

There is that! I was also super excited about the new body, and so read those few pages about 10 times over in succession, so I committed it pretty well to memory. |D

It is. In the anime she's more of a side-handled hammer. I like the tonfa better.

Medusa could lure Stein equally well or better while small, though! She wouldn't be actually de-aged in the sense of mentally regressed, just loli-fied, probably.

You could also probably get some good de-aged icons from the anime, both from that one scene and also hallucinated!bitty!Stein from episode 41. If you wanted some where he looks serene for some reason. |D

I am no model for restraint considering I have like 20 loli icons. Although really I could probably dump ones I haven't used/combine keywords on very similar expressions to get down to 10 or so.

Just popped by to comment that truth to be told, I think Marie may be not only a multiple form weapon, but also a nod to Okubo REALLY doing his homework. You see, the original Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, was really damn tiny. It could grow larger, but even when in full size it still remained pretty small as far as hammers go, the handle was just big enough to fit in Thor's hand and the head was not much bigger either.

Of course, if he had done his homework Stein would also be able to throw Marie and have her home in on Justin and then return to Stein's hands... but who knows, he might be saving that trick for later on.
