Question Meme!

I am a sheep and bored anyway.

It goes LIKE SO. You comment here and ASK A QUESTION it can be anything CFUD related, OOC, IC, Relationship, psychology, thoughts, whatever. I.E. My character's opinion of your character or maybe what you have been wondering about this behavior or that, or general thoughts on my characters or canons or what, who I might consider raping you into apping, etc.

WHEN I REPLY I will also ask you a question in turn!

In this way we talk at each other, which is fun.

Currently play Azuma, Bunshichi, Tarou, and Stein!

23. My birthday's on January 23 (1.23) and I've always found prime numbers to be intriguing. Yesterday I got really happy because I looked at my clock and it was 23:23 (I keep it on military time). So yes. Solid 23.

What's your favorite word? In English, and if you have one in any of the other languages you know.

Liquid is actually my favorite English word. No real reason why, it just looks fun and I'm easily amused. ... no idea about the other languages I know.

What was the best gift you've ever gotten?

[identity profile] wonderseal.livejournal.com 2008-09-30 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
...How do I answer that. God. Uh. Well, I can't. But one of the sweetest things I've ever gotten was last year on my birthday I was having a bad day and I was feeling sick, so Harley went out when I was in class and got a bouquet of wildflowers and all sorts of medicine to help me feel better (like four different things) and I think she made me soup (it's what we do when someone doesn't feel well, so probably). My roommate is the best.

Your favorite birthday memory? (Unless you're a bad luck birthday person. Then your favorite summer-related memory)

[identity profile] iscrewtothink.livejournal.com 2008-09-30 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
... ahaha. I am actually a bad-luck birthday person because my bday is August 15th so it's always right before school and not only that but BAD THINGS like my mom kicking my dad out happen near or around my bday. Orz. So uh. Favorite summer-related memory would be all the times I was a kid that my dad and my sisters and I would ride our bikes to go swimming at the military base's pool (military brat, ftw). It was a wickedly deep pool whose shallow end was like 6ft some days. :DDD

What would you say CFUD has changed about your life if it has? If not, what's one thing that has changed your life?

[identity profile] pingifneeded.livejournal.com 2008-09-30 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Well, meeting tons of people that I would normally never know. I've learned a lot about the world (I never knew what language they spoke in Singapore until I asked Toph, and I probably wouldn't have learned. I'm still not sure I know.) On the flip side, probably negatively, it has made me less inclined to initiate contact with RL friends. Not just new people. Friends I've had for 16 years. But honestly, I'm not sure if I can blame that on the game or just on my evolution as a human. It can be hard to go back into being friends with other people when you're so used to the expectations of one set.

Now, that question for you!

Ditto for me on the branching out and getting to know things about the world that I wouldn't have otherwise known. But It hasn't changed very much in terms of how I relate to people. I'm still very much the stand-offish type who doesn't really feel like she fits in any one place. But CFUD does make things easier for me to be myself and also it's given me a chance to meet more people who support the whole "Go out and be yourself with other people" thing. ... while also eating my life away. |D

What's a favorite famous quote of yours and why?

[identity profile] pingifneeded.livejournal.com 2008-09-30 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly I can't think right now. This is what popped into my head.

"I wish I could drink like a lady,
One or two at the most.
Three I'm under the table,
Four I'm under the host."
-Dorothy Parker

THIS IN NO WAY REPRESENTS ME. I just find it hilarious.

"It's safe to say that in a true war story nothing is ever absolutely true." - Tim O'Brien The Things They Carried.

I'm in love with the idea that things can be true without being factual. The emotion that is conveyed in a movie or a book or whatever is a real communication, even if it never happened in that particular way.

Your favorite childhood storybook? The one that you memorized or wore out and all the pages fell out of. If you have one that like~
